Dayfari is built to help you find things to do nearby and plan road trips. It isn't built to collect data about you. Here's the whole picture, in plain language.

The short version

No accounts. You never sign up, sign in, or give us your name or email.

Anonymous usage stats (opt-out anytime). Dayfari counts things like app opens, screens visited, and taps on save, search, and directions, using a random ID generated on your phone. No name, no email, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics SDKs, no cross-app tracking. Turn it off in Settings > Privacy and the unsent counts are deleted.

Website page counts. dayfari.com counts page views with a random ID kept in your browser's own storage, no cookies, no third-party analytics. Only the page address is counted, never anything you type.

The app has no ads. The Dayfari app itself never shows third-party ads and never shares data with advertisers, there isn't any to share.

The website shows Google ads. Pages on dayfari.com may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. For more detail, see Google's advertising policies. We don't control Google's cookies and we don't receive your personal data from them.

Your stuff stays on your phone. Saved events, trips, and preferences live on your device.

Location

Dayfari asks for your location so it can show events and places near you and plan routes. That's the only reason.

Your location is sent only when needed, to look up nearby places, get directions, or find events, always over an encrypted connection.

It's never kept longer than the search needs, and we never build a history of where you've been.

You can deny location access entirely and still use Dayfari by typing a place name or picking a spot on the map.

What leaves your phone

To show you events, places, and routes, Dayfari talks to a few third-party services. They receive the minimum needed to answer your request, for example, a search query and an approximate location, and each has its own privacy policy:

Ticketmaster, event listings.

DataForSEO and Yelp, business and place information.

OpenStreetMap, map tiles.

Anonymous usage counts (app opens, screens, taps) go to our own server at api.dayfari.com, never to a third-party analytics company.

If you buy Dayfari Premium, the purchase is handled entirely by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details.

Affiliate links

Some links on dayfari.com are affiliate links. When you book through one

of them, Dayfari may earn a commission from the booking partner –

currently Klook, and Travelpayouts (which handles bookings with Tiqets,

GetTransfer, and Kiwi.com). The price you pay is not increased by the

commission; it comes out of the partner's share, not your pocket.

Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" in the page

code, and pages that carry bookable links say so on the page. Other

outbound links are only tracked to count clicks, we earn nothing on

them. Earning a commission never changes what we list or how we rank it:

listings are never paid placements.

Community submissions

If you submit a place or event to the community, that content (and only that content) is sent to our servers so it can be reviewed and, if approved, shown to other users. Don't include personal information in submissions.

Your choices

Turn location off any time in your phone's system settings, Dayfari keeps working with manual search.

Turn off anonymous usage stats in the app under Settings > Privacy.

Opt out of website page counts below, this stops the count and deletes the ID from this browser. It stays off unless you opt back in.

Delete everything Dayfari stored on your device by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

Children

Dayfari isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
