Creating Comics: Page Turner II
Description
We'll start this program with a refresh of the techniques learnt in Page Turner 1. Amateur comic creators can join Howard Wong (Image Comics, Marvel Comics) and a guest comic artist to learn how to go beyond the balance of words or illustrations and build emotional, impactful moments. We'll break down live participant scenes, demonstrating exact techniques to elevate good ideas into powerful comic pages! Attendees are encouraged to bring their work-in-progress comic.
Teens 15+ welcome. Howard Wong has been nominated for the Joe Shuster Award for Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Writer. He develops animation, comic books, high-end collectible toys, video games, and more. He has authored titles and contributed to collected works for industry leaders like: Bandai, Bungie, Marvel Comics, and Threezero.
